You hear about it, but never think it'll happen to you.
I haven't been paid for my first week of work, three weeks after the fact. “It'll be on the next check” is what management said today, same thing they said after I didn't get my first check, because of a “computer error”. Apparently my hours weren't tracked in the system, but my clock in times were? Doesn't make a lot of sense.
I don't really know what to do. I got fired and was unemployed for a month and a half, we're in somewhat dire financial straights. I NEED this job, it even pays more (on paper lol) than my last one. Rent is due at the end of the month, if I don't work up until that point we'll be screwed.
Edit: important info I forgot to add, I did get a check for the pay period I worked after my first week today.
