I got denied for food stamps today because I make over $2000 a month. Apparently $2000 for a family of 3 cuts you off from public assistance.
I'm a full time college student, I have a 5 month old, my husband works nights. I never see him because because I have to take care of the baby during the day and go to class. I work at 5:00am, I drop my baby off with my husband and then I work until until 2pm and I come home and he goes to sleep I work 3 days a week. I just barely got a spot for my daughter for daycare it's going to cost us $17000 a year I don't know how the hell we're supposed to afford it when I make $14, my husband make $16. My rent is a $1000 a month, which is insanely cheap for the area, that's half of our entire paycheck for the month. Somehow we have to come with an extra $300 because daycares can be 1300 a month. And now apparently we make too much for food stamps. I'm just so tired.
