New job woes. Advice?

So I just started a job with the NHS as a Multi-Skilled catering assistant. They know I’ve been a chef for 11 years; my precious job being a Head Chef for 3 years. I was looking for something a little less fast paced because of health issues. Occupational health took 8 months to pass me, not because of my health, but because they were just really slow getting in touch with my consultants. Anyway, three days into the job I realise I’m doing all the same shifts, all evenings. All I’m doing is washing dishes. I ask the manager if that’s what I’ll be doing all the time and he says no, but the supervisor tells me otherwise. Occupational health took 8 months to pass me, not because of my health, but because they were just really slow getting in touch with my consultants. Anyway, three days into the job I realise I’m doing all the same shifts, all evenings. All I’m doing is washing dishes. She says they’re not looking for cooks or anything else, just people to wash dishes and that’s what I’ll be doing. She also tells me that the multi-skilled is just to draw people in and unless some of the cooks leave (but they’ve all been there years and don’t plan to leave) I’ll just be washing dishes every day.

I’m only 4 days into the job now and found out I’m also working 7 days in a row without a day off so something tells me that if they’ve lied this much at the start, it isn’t going to get any better.
