I have been working at this company for almost 12 years. They bumped my pay up in November, then I got my yearly increase. Turns out I know make only 44 cents more than people starting, and that is only because of my yearly increase being so late in the year. My two other day shift coworkers make the same as new hires.
On top of this is the fact that my department has no lead. I have found myself having to follow up on work not properly done. Finish anything that anyone off shift leaves behind. I also am the only one who is trained to do two extra productions lines of work. On top of all this I have to train anyone who is starting for any of the three shifts.
Finally getting fed up with this I complained to the person between my boss and me about having to do all this extra and making almost the same, or less (due to shift differential) as people who are halfed trained, or just don't want to work. Her response, it's no big deal, this is what your job is so stop complaining and just do it. Your not going to find a better place to work than here. I have to do extra and I'm not complaining.
Currently looking for a new job so I can hand in my two weeks notice.
