Kudos to Spectrum, and about every isp I've ever used. They'll make your services unusable, so when you call with an issue they'll tell you that the service you've paid for and has worked perfectly fine for the entire year since they did it last time isn't enough so you have to pay for more. It's flagrant bs, and the exact same thing happens everywhere.
Rent goes up, for no real reason.
Gas prices skyrocket while gas companies are posting record breaking profits, while we have a record amount of oil permits, while we have a record surplus of oil /just sitting there/. Supposedly the government stepped in there, and got it lowered by a fraction of what it was raised. Just for it now skyrocket even further right before it's supposed to drop 30 cents.
Price of housing is skyrocketing because corporations are buying it all up.
Left and right, every step every turn these corporations headed by the rich are making up every weak excuse in the book to bend us over and take us for everything we're worth. They work us to the bone, just to bleed us of every sweat we're giving up our bodies and our lives to make.
And we're letting it happen. We could try electing different leaders, but the system's rigged against us! Every time a decent candidate comes up they don't win, and not because they lost the vote! But because that's just how the system works. Everyone tries to pin it on this president or that president, but won't wake up and realize that it's the same power with a different face. Good luck getting enough people on board to use the system to change the system.
I go to work and everyone is livid about the state of affairs in our country and in our company, but if you even mention anything that would mean any sort of effective change they get pissed about that too! Our company starts at $16.50. $18 if you have experience and training. Union companies in the same industry are starting out $25 at the minimum. I had a guy try arguing the after union dues it's closer to $20, and sat there with a shit eating grin as if $20/hr was somehow worse than $18!
When will we actually do something and take our country back from these greedy bastards?
