So this article got a tickle out of me. Nvidia apparently is paying already bloated investors (not shareholders) for “not informing” them on how their GPUs could be used in crypto mining.
Two things to note here:
- This would never have happened if it was the average joe suing them. Institutional investors who are already ripe with cash, wanted this little bit of information so they can make more cash. Hence the lawsuit.
- Companies like Nvidia have separate budgets to pay for any wrongdoing. Like malpractice insurance. And they can repeat it however may times as they want!
