I started working for this company a month ago. I was hired as the assistant technician to somebody who is physically injured so I’m basically the hands and he is the brain. During the interview I said that I needed a vehicle to get to work and back home with, my former job supplied me with one, and so the new boss arranged for it.
Just this week I’m told that I had to pay for the fuel, which wasn’t mentioned during the hiring process – I obviously would have said NO and kept looking for something else.
The employer can’t legally do this can they? I live in Canada btw
