Does everyone secretly apply for other jobs while employed?

TLDR; feeling scared and guilty about changing companies after being with the same one for 15 years I've been with the same tech company since out of university, and it's been 15+ years now with them. I've had many different roles, but now I'm going through a bit of a rut in my current role (it's not as exciting as previous roles, and now I'm also somewhat underpaid compared to similar senior level jobs in the market). I've now landed an interview with another company and I'm procrastinating booking a time because I feel guilty, and truthfully I'm also very scared to change! I feel like this company is a part of who I am, and I'm very used to…

I've been with the same tech company since out of university, and it's been 15+ years now with them. I've had many different roles, but now I'm going through a bit of a rut in my current role (it's not as exciting as previous roles, and now I'm also somewhat underpaid compared to similar senior level jobs in the market).

So, I started looking at other companies, but I can't help but feel super guilty. Is that feeling normal? Does everyone just interview with other companies behind your employer's back?

I've now landed an interview with another company and I'm procrastinating booking a time because I feel guilty, and truthfully I'm also very scared to change! I feel like this company is a part of who I am, and I'm very used to it, the processes, and the people. Has anyone changed after 15 years? What was it like?

Is the grass actually greener on the other side??
