Spent two hours in a meeting earlier in the week and the person tested positive for Covid today. I was informed I was exposed but the person that called conveniently forgot to ask if I had the booster shots. They only asked about the two vaccines. I told them I was having symptoms but they said don’t quarantine. I lost all my pto at the beginning of the year for surgery so I had to go in. Calling out without any, is a write up and you only get two a year.
The guidelines are no quarantining and wear a mask if you’ve had the booster. Quarantine and test on the fifth day if you don’t. I stupidly didn’t look up the guidelines before going into work. The one decent supervisor stopped me on his way out from getting sent home because they didn’t tell him either and asked me if I had the boosters. I feel guilty for going in and potentially exposing someone, I was wearing a mask, but feel like I didn’t have a choice.
