AMERICANS OF REDDIT: IT IS TIME TO CALL YOUR REPRESENTATIVES
Our government is out of touch with the needs of its citizens. It is our responsibility to remind our officials who they work for.
POLITICIANS WORK FOR US.
No, seriously. These people are letting us get squeezed for everything we have, and they apparently have no idea how much we are struggling. I want every single one of us calling, emailing, tweeting at our congressmen, senators, mayors, anyone you can think of and I want you to tell them about your life.
Tell them about the decisions you’re facing due to inflation. Tell them how shit your work experience has been. Tell them how heartbreaking it is that overdose deaths are at an all time high and climbing. Tell them how unacceptable it is that building a life for oneself is becoming impossible. How abhorrent it is that our citizens are going without healthcare and mothers can’t find formula.
Don’t even get me started on Roe Vs. Wade.
Living in this country feels like a joke. This entire situation has gone far enough.
IT IS EVIDENT THAT WE ARE UNABLE TO VOTE FOR THE CHANGES WE NEED.
So I am calling on YOU, the individual, to join a movement where we speak up and introduce ourselves to our representatives and humanize our struggle. We are not powerless. We do not have to lie down and take this. We can make our problems their problems until they are fixed. We know how to harness the collective power of the internet to accomplish goals.
WE CAN, AND WILL, DISRUPT THE STATUS QUO.
