So as a student who's looking for a work to earn some extra money i've come to realize that interviews are a very common thing and i dont know why.
How can a person who's never heard or seen me work say that i am unfit for a role even if i do have the qualities needed for the line of work i'm applying for?
And even if they say that you're fit they still don't know how i work or if i work better in a team or if they should just work alone.
Hell even the added stress of going to an interview and waiting to see if you got accepted is also a clear deterrent for me and alot of my peers
Another deterrent is how absolutely wild employers get with student pay, where they're paying 10 bucks an hour for a mediocre job but the requirement is a fucking masters degree. No shit my generation doesn't want to work in these shitty conditions
Employers need to learn that potential employees should show how they work and not base it all of a verbal conversation where you can easily slip up and say the wrong thing or even lie towards the interviewer to make yourself look better.
