So I was watching a Tik Tok from a Canadian and he was talking about universal basic income.
So it would cost $80 billion,
$30 billion would be off set as it would remove the need for certain programs.
And he was talking about poverty in all aspects costs Canada about $80 billion as a whole.
So it would actually save $30 billion.
As someone who is from the UK I wanted to see what peoples thoughts where, I know that atm. I am, due to health issues on disability benefits, but if I had a universal income, and there was an ability for people who couldn’t work to do volunteer inside my ability I would.
What does everyone think?
It’s similar to America and their health care system. That they spend billions on health care (government), but if they replaced it with universal health care this amount would be reduced.
