Today IWW announced that the workers of Alamo Draft House Lamar, in Austin, Texas; have decided to form a union.

The stated reasons include the typical fare we've seen from servers and retail; corporate ignoring the risks to their workers, expecting them to work harder for the same pay, pay not matching a good market rate. This following a huge sexual harassment scandal a few years ago.
This adds to a long list of efforts and accomplishments the IWW has made in the last few years alone. They have helped unionize fast food joints, helped get people hired back for them refusing to work in 120 degree heat, and punched nazis.
There's often a lot of the same questions in this sub “Where do I start if I want to form a union?” “How do we get things to be better?” Well one of the answers to both lies with the IWW. If only 1% of our userbase joins, we'll have likely doubled the number of IWW members in the United States. If 10% of our userbase joins up, they'll have become one of the largest unions overnight.
The people who have put themselves in charge have failed us. Every day we see and feel the costs of them failing us. It is time to roll up our sleeves and do what needs to be done, to make a more merciful world, together, united.
An injury to one is an injury to all.
