Family member of mine works part time at the local library where she makes $10.50 an hour. Was asked to also work part time at neighboring town library, was asked if she expected same money. She said at least the same, yes.
Was informed that they can’t afford to pay that much. So, she turned down the job. (Quite frankly, it wouldn’t be worth working there part time at $10.50 ph with current gas prices).
Did not find anything hypocritical about that after complaining for 2 years that “no one wants to work anymore” because “everyone is on unemployment” and still (somehow) living off of government stimulus money.
