Interesting article on the pros and cons of automating fast-food kitchen jobs. In general, I’m in favor of getting rid of these low-wage, high risk jobs.

How robots will work with humans in $800 billion restaurant business (fastcompany.com) This article claims that AI robotics could potentially replace 85 million fast-food jobs but would create 97 million higher wage jobs in the robotics industry (maybe something great for young people to consider getting into). I'm not a fan of fast-food jobs for young people anyway because they end up being exploited by bad managers and can easily be burned or otherwise injured. Also, there's an unusual quote in the middle of the article that reads, “if the harsh realities of capitalism got workers into this mess, perhaps the harsh realities of capitalism can also help get them out of it.” I'm not sure if I'm convinced by that statement. What do you all think?
