First of all. English is not my native language and I want to apologise for any grammatical mistakes I make. There will probably be a lot since my grammar sucks in my nativ language as well. I'm also on mobile.
Two years ago, when I joined this company, I was put into a 2 desk office with a coworker with whom I was about to work on a project together. We did a pretty decent job and pulled the project out off the mud, but besides that we're not really going along personally.
At the beginning of the year the position of the group leader was vacant because of restructuring. Basically our department got split into two and my colleague got the job and is now my direct superior since march. My old boss (started to work in the company in december 2021) is still in part responsible for me because there will be a transition time. This means that I have basically two direct superior. This fact alone makes me not comfortable because they insist that I report to both of them which increases my workload and is just annoying, because they suck at communicating with each other. This will go on at least till august.
Now I still share my office with my former colleague and now boss and I'm just no comfortable with it or to say it less polite, this guy is fucking annoying amd I'm tired of being his guinea pig for management skills he found online. He keeps getting controlling as fuck. I'm the only person he is this way with (I talked with other coworkers about it). I think it's mainly because we share an office and I'm always available. I went to higher ups for an other office, but they just keep pacifing me and nothing happens since march.
What can I do except for quiting?
TL;DR Former coworker is now my boss and we still share an office. He's controlling and annoying. What can I do about it?
