A company I worked at from 2000-2005 in NY moved operations to North Carolina in 2005 to save money. Some people moved and the others like me lost their jobs. At the time in 2005 I was making around 55-60k. A few days ago same company sees my Indeed profile and offers me the same job, 17 yrs later, as a remote position since they're now based in North Carolina, for 55k. 17 years later their still paying the same starting salary. Funny how inflation effects everything except wages.
