I am so sick of older generations being surprised we don't give a shit anymore. The average age of our government is well past 60, is predominantly male, and has broken down to a complete dysfunctional mess. Women are looking at possible loss of bodily autonomy. LGBT are yet again being facing being used as political bargaining chips. So on and so forth. Nevermind the wars, recession, and working conditions of pretty much everyone.
I would love to save for retirement, but I am not going to kid myself that I am not going to be working until I drop dead or forced out because of ageism. I would love to have a child, but I probably won't be able to as a single trans woman due to being single, trans, and because of the cost to adopt nevermind the prejudice. I would invest, but I don't have any extra money to do so.
So why bother? Enjoy today and fuck tomorrow.
