Long story short. I work retail with a toddler. This year so far I went on vacation at the end of February and due to flight cancellations and limited funds I missed a week worth of work but backed it with calling in every scheduled shift and showing proof I was trying my hardest to come back and not BSing. The other two call ins were due to my toddler having a fever of 101-103 and testing positive for the Flu and then my babysitter and everyone in her household testing positive for Covid. And the very last call in was a shift change where I picked up a shift the same week to cover the original shift. Been here 4 years and never once got written up until this past Monday and I’m highly peeved that it’s a final notice meaning god forbid I get sick for the rest of this year I’m automatically terminated and no we only get PTO and floating holiday no specifically designed sick days. Which company do you think I work for ?
