I have to find a job to keep my apartment. The stress of this is making it hard to function well enough to get said job. What do I do?

I'm in a Catch 22 right now, as described in the title. I need a job to pay for shelter but in order to get a job I feel like I need more energy than I have. What options do I have? I hate capitalism and it's depressing to me to need to engage with it to live to the point that it effects my mental health to need to do so even on an ideological level, but being paid to be a socialist somehow seems unrealistic at best. Like a dream job. I called a few places like that to see if they're hiring and there's a co op that's hiring but the only position I might qualify for is retail. That's my best option right now. Maybe I just go into NPC mode as a part time job.
