I am a teacher and speak to many different students from all walks of life. Overwhelmingly when we talk about education, they say the following things:
– The sole purpose of education is to give you the tools to make money
– We should get rid of subjects like art, and literature
– schoolchildren should learn how to pay taxes, pay bills, and only practical subjects that only serve
this means that they don't view education as a way of enriching and exploring knowledge, but purely as something that must serve capitalist exploitation
it probably explains why so many on the right have zero media literacy
