Can we please stop with the “Work in a passion driven field and learn to hate your passion” posts?

I'm a professional musician and a carpenter. I've done some absolutely body destroying manual labor before I could actually make money in the arts. Have you ever cut concrete outside in the Georgia summer sun because gigs don't pay the bills? I sure have. And now every day I go to a gig and play music for money I smile and think of how far I've come. Yes, the unfortunate reality is that my passion is tied to earning money. Does this make me hate my passion? Fuck no, I just remember sweating buckets with a concrete saw in my hand. Do what you love folks, the bastards already try to take everything else from you.
