Here's my quick story.
- I have 5+ years of front-end web development experience. With a portfolio. I also know growth marketing. And various other tools like Adobe Suite. I'm a pro PC guy. Been using PCs since AOL days. My age is under 30.
- I literally self-funded my own video game startup with £20K. Excellent MVP (game prototype). Didn't secure funding because investors were misguided with shiny object syndrome (web3/blockchain/p2e) aka bad timing. Now we have: food shortages, high gas prices, potential world war, global economy is down, donkeypox etc. A legit, righteous, and super smart entrepreneur like me doesn't get funded, yet scammers do. Okay then. No worries. I understand the ruling elite's agenda.
- I consider myself a leader. I want to help companies grow, especially start & scale ups.
- These are Easy Apply jobs. If I count external applications, the total would probably be somewhere closer to 3000. 3K jobs in 3 months with no offers. I've applied for jobs i can do and jobs easier than my skillset such as customer service. Nope, no one is hiring me.
- I've done my research on ATS, CV optimization and all of that. I've had like 15-25 interviews, and no job offers. I'm sick of applying. I'm sick of contacting companies who've rejected me and want to keep my personal information (nah, you can go ahead and delete it permanently weirdos).
This process is disgustingly time-consuming with no returns. I've been applying for the past 3 months – full time. I'm aware that having industry connections and personal branding will help, but that's in progress. I'm a diamond and no one's found me. Their loss, but it's a bit savage that I have to go through these hard times. All good though, hard times create strong men.
