Rant
My friend and I casually discuss the notion that our government, corporate, and otherwise elite overlords view us as human batteries. We get jobs to input some level of productivity where the benefits to the employer always outweigh the employee. We pay taxes to benefit the government and other Beltway bandits. We then continue to fulfill our role by mass consumption. We are conditioned to overspend and buy shit for the sake of comfort, convenience, and entertainment, but it all goes to benefit the “economy”. We then spend our lives caring about the “economy” out of fear. “It’s good for the economy” is a lie that we have bought into because we want to hold on to our bit of comfort. Buy buy buy. CONSUME. Get distracted. Back to consumption. Now, SHUT the FUCK UP and be a good little battery. Get back to work and buy my goddamn product!!
