My boss asked me to mop the floor, and then yelled at me 30 minutes later to mop the floor

I work for a power hungry douche who doesn’t know how to handle power. He asked me to leave the register and mop in front of the entrances. As I was mopping he came up to me 15 minutes later and yelled “why are you mopping? They are busy at the register!” So when I went back to the register there were no customers there. It seems like he just likes to abuse his power. Also if there was a customer there why wouldn’t he help the customer instead of coming to find me to help them? Seems like poor customer service for that customer which he always preaches the importance of.
