Why is there not more talk of how the government is stealing our wages?

We talk constantly about how much our employers are underpaying us, but do you know how much you actually cost your employer? No No, Hear me out a second, I'm not suggesting employers aren't bending us over, but I think we're overlooking the fact that we're getting tag teamed. In CA, where min wage is $15 an hour, your pay before taxes is just over 31k. Of that, you get to take home about 25k. But what no one talks about is the employer side taxes and required spending on things like unemployment, worker's comp, and so on. Why does it matter? Because the cost of those things is calculated based on your salary.
