15 year old’s first work experience – looking for thoughts/advice

My daughter has been working a little over a month at a restaurant. Local chain that works a little like Qdoba/Subway but with salad bowls. Last weekend she was on a conference call while I drove her in where the manager was basically nitpicking about tasks and mentioned that she is only there M-F day shifts. None of the kids working have work permits. This evening my daughter was scheduled the closing shift (4.5 hrs) with only two other fifteen year olds that have all been working there less than three months. I’m stressed out over an adult not being present with all the potential dangers. They also had to operate the oven and wash knives when their handbook states that an adult must do those tasks. Is this a situation where we call the manager? Do we go to a higher up authority to report it? Not a lot…

Is this a situation where we call the manager? Do we go to a higher up authority to report it? Not a lot of places hire under 16 and I hate taking away her chance to earn and save up some cash but I’m considering not letting her go back if they have such a disregard for safety.
