I will get straight to the point, I work between 45-50 hours a week. Every week regardless of hours worked, my check is 40 hours, plus 10 hours overtime. The base pay is reduced, so the overtime plus 40 hours reaches somewhere around 16.25. However, the exception comes when I took time off because of injury, and elected not to use PTO (no sick days) I was not paid for it. This seems fishy to me, seeing as my check every week is treated as salary, until I need time off for something. I did not sign a contract, a salary offer, or anything like that. This seems illegal to me, but I'm having trouble figuring out any exact laws they are violating. This is in TX, USA. Also, I am already interviewing for jobs, and will be leaving ASAP for the low pay and highly technical job. Encouraging all my coworkers to do the same. Thanks y'all.
