Cop-related work memory (since there is significant overlap)

Working midnight shift at a gas station. We had an outside customer bathroom and a private inside employee bathroom. Guy comes in and asks to use the employee bathroom. Easy no. Here’s the key, use the outside bathroom. Guy makes a big fuss, I’m not budging. 30 minutes or so later, a cop walks in. They got a call. A cop responded that quickly about that call. I explained the situation. Cop wasn’t exactly bothered except He had to pee. Asked to use the employee bathroom. I was young and timid, and honestly, working midnight shift in this part of town, you wanted the police on your side. So sure. Go right ahead. Cops left directly afterwards. Just a little reminder that, while police are charged with protecting businesses and property, they have no regard for employees. You aren’t even an asset of the company you work for.
