Long time follower, first time poster. Hello all, love this sub.
I work in healthcare sales. Current position is getting toxic. I took another offer for a 30% increase in base salary and a better commission rate with less sales pressure.
I receive a base salary plus commissions. My commissions are paid monthly and on a 2 month delay (this month I’m paid for April, etc). I’m working through July 1st.
I put in a 30 day notice (this is common for healthcare) and my employer has let me know I will not be receiving my commissions for May or June because I will not be employed with them. I’d let it go, but June is going to be a huge month for me – and I’m working way over my typical 50 hours per week for it.
Would you guys consider this unpaid wages and fight it, or let the money go and move on?
