Warning given about cell phone use

I've been at this job for about 6 weeks. And yesterday before the end of my day I was called up to my supervisor's office.. I had to sign that I was given the policy about cell phone use on the premises. I guess a provider AKA doctor notify them that they saw me using my cell phone at my desk. Everybody is on their phone all the time. I mentioned this to my supervisor and he said you're not the only one that I've called up to the office today for this issue.

They have also pointed out to me that no hoodies are allowed to be worn at work. I told them that this is a medical hoodie that I bought off of the Figs website and that other people here are wearing hoodies.

I mentioned the hoodie incident because my supervisor said I don't want you to think that we're singling you out since we've talked to you about dress code and now the cell phone.

I told them I would be more mindful of the cell phone rules and only use my cell phone while on my break and not on the patient floor. So what I've been doing as of today is I have been taking extended bathroom breaks in order to check my phone.

Malicious compliance?? Maybe.. Either way I'm gonna find ways to bend the rules. Thanks for listening to my rant.
