job is saying they’re having payroll problems

For context, I live in Oregon and get payed on Friday every week by direct deposit. But this week, my job sent out a mass text to all its employees saying that “For those of you who have not yet received your payroll, please know that I am working to resolve this issue ASAP. Looks to be affecting USBank, Wells Fargo, and Key Bank customers. Please check your account around 9 am and respond if you still have not received your deposit.” After I let them know I hadn't received my money, the payroll specialist called me and said that I should receive it on Monday, but they can cut a paper check right now for me and I will pay it back next paycheck. I chose to wait until Monday. Is this a red flag? I am so used to laying down and being submissive in the work world.…
