Got this email at 10 PM for a minimum wage job w/ no benefits & not full-time hours

Hello lovely people! Most of you have had at least one shift by now, so I thought it would be a good time to send some reminders. PHONES: Should be put away. We've had issues on each shift with people being on their phones. This needs to stop. If you've been spoken to already about it, and I have to talk to you about it, you'll lose phone privileges and have to keep your phone in the cabinet for the duration of your shifts for the rest of the season. If that happens to a couple of you, it'll extend to everyone. I understand things come up, and if you have a family emergency or know you need to be available, just talk to me. This has been a serious problem, and I don't want to take away phone privileges for everyone, so don't be that person who causes it. …

Breaks: If you need to sit down for a minute, I understand. Please radio whoever is on duty (me, a captain) and we will send someone to your position to cover a break. You can go to ___(where we do our huddles) and sit for a few minutes. Please do not sit down while you are out on duty. There will be some positions where you're allowed to sit, but for events like this weekend, please stay on your feet and engaged.

Shift Phone: If you're running late, are sick, or have to get in touch with whoever is on duty, please identify yourself if you text the shift phone. It's a flip phone, and we do not have your phone numbers stored in it. We may not reply – again, it's a flip phone – but we'll see the message. We just need to know who you are. If you can't make your shift, give us as much notice as possible.

I've noticed a lot of you congregating together. I'm glad you all are making friends! Please try to keep it to a minimum, though, because I've noticed that when you're grouped together, you're missing some things going on around you. Please stay vigilant, and keep friend time to a minimum while on duty.

All that aside, you all are doing a great job, so let's keep it up! I've had a lot of patrons tell me how great you all are!
