GF got offered a hilariously low pay for a job

My GF looks after rich people’s dogs part time as we are both students and it’s kinda an easy job. The company she works for usually finds her dog owners, she was talking to this one woman who lives in a mansion in our city and she wants my GF to watch the dog for 12 hours tomorrow for a grand total of £33 all day. This is like £2.50 an hour. I’ve explained to my GF that this is horrendous and £6 an hour would be pushing it but 2.50 should be illegal (it’s not illegal because it’s off contract). Now it’s not particularly taxing work but giving up a whole day for that kind of money is absolutely horrific. My GF has refused to take the job and is asking for £8 an hour minimum but I’m appalled that someone would even try and lowball her like that.…

People, especially the wealthy, seem to have lost concept of what a ‘living wage’ is for working people. I want to complain to the company but my GF likes this job and she’s begging me not to.
