I just watched a video that completely changed my perspective on the current state of affairs in US

TL;DR: A crazy eastern European dude tells US citizens immigrating China might be their best bet for the future. So I just watched this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xguam0TKMw8 It made me realize that the state US citizens are in right now isn't really a new thing. It has happened over, and over and over and over. At some point, after an economic boom, an empire collapses on itself in an extremely predictable, repetitive manner confirmed by history, and this is freely available information. The wealth gap increases, but the poor are still okay as long as they have basic amenities they are used to, however, when the empire gets to a point where their quality of life starts declining (sped up by 'rona, not caused by it, mind you), you start getting things like civil wars, which weakens the empire, which causes it to overspend even more on military, which makes it…

It made me realize that the state US citizens are in right now isn't really a new thing. It has happened over, and over and over and over.

At some point, after an economic boom, an empire collapses on itself in an extremely predictable, repetitive manner confirmed by history, and this is freely available information. The wealth gap increases, but the poor are still okay as long as they have basic amenities they are used to, however, when the empire gets to a point where their quality of life starts declining (sped up by 'rona, not caused by it, mind you), you start getting things like civil wars, which weakens the empire, which causes it to overspend even more on military, which makes it owe more, which eventually just straight up makes it become irrelevant at some point.

What I want to say is, while it is absolutely unreasonable to say 'just leave US, LOL', it might actually be the best advice for an individual, even if they have to do all sorts of questionable things to do it, even if they have to quite literally murder someone for it.

Why? Because the US is a sinking ship, and for all intents and purposes, we have historical knowledge to understand that it is in a downward spiral no superpower has (to our knowledge) recovered from. And there damn straight aren't any implications it is going to get better.

Also, being European, I get it. It is not just the US, it's the whole world that's showing decline, basically, it is just that the US is hit the hardest by this downward spiral because it is the source of this type of misery it spreads outwards – it is a dominant superpower, slowly being replaced by China and fading into obscurity.

When China gets into prosperity stage as a dominant superpower, the world will, just like with the US, see a general boom. However, that won't last forever, either, but as far as our lifetimes go, betting on China is the best way forward.

I am expecting to have this post heavily downvoted for all sorts of reasons, but I quite honestly think whatever is happening in the US is so hopelessly beyond saving that applying any means necessary to just disappear from that system is the best move for almost anyone.
