Not too long ago, I posted asking for advice. I took your advice and gave my two weeks. While doing so, my service manager made me feel super bad about leaving and extremely uncomfortable. He repeatedly bashed the new place and read glassdoor reviews to me, even though the current company’s reviews or even worse.
Due to me leaving for a company that hasn’t been in business as long as my current one, the manager brought up the recession. He said that the new company will fire everyone once the recession hits and will only keep the ones he sleeping with and I won’t be one of them. I don’t sleep with coworkers, so I’m not sure what made him think this was ok to say. He also mentioned that an ex coworkers sexual orientation and how he had seen pictures of her with a current co worker. I don’t feel like any of this should have been disclosed to me and what is he saying to others about me. I don’t know if I have anything on him as it’s my word against his and HR has already shown they are on his side.
None of what he was saying had to do with my two weeks and I wish I would have recorded it, but I failed on that part. At the end of the day, should I say screw them and wait a week to start my new job or should I go in tomorrow and see if I can get him making derogatory comments on record. I’m in Texas, currently working for a large corporation.
