Had a new hire orientation today and the HR rep was talking about the benefits offered. Told us about the short and long term disability benefits provided by the come and that there was an additional long term benefit you could elect to basically expand or increase the LTD coverage amount. But, she said, we should keep in mind that by the time we switch over to long term disability we likely won't be employed anymore anyway. I thought, wow, at least she's honest about it.
