The irony is that I was in the middle of summarizing my duties at the company, which are extensive, because the home office is upset about the profit of our division. I’m not in sales and I do my job very well, keeping my department in the black. Turns out the sales guys make 2-3 times my salary not counting commissions. I always wondered why they didn’t care they weren’t making sales. They have inflated salaries. I called the home office, told them what happened, and said that they were going to have to stop trying to “extract more value” out of me and focus on the sales guys.
