I believe this subreddit isn’t about not working. It’s about wanting to be respected and acknowledged. What has a manager in the past done that helped you enjoy your job?

I just became a new manager and I want to treat my team well. It's a typical office environment. I had horrible managers in the past, so I know what not to do. I'm just not sure what I should do that for above and beyond.
