Working in a govtly funded university really sucks. Been teaching with thr university for 3years++ now but my status is still contractual. Meaning, no benefits, no hmo card, no 13monthpay, no bonuses.
This is even though i consistently get good ranking from student surveys and Dean's classroom observation every semester.
Application for plantilla is only favored those who have backers or know people from the inside. If you have none like me, i might need to stay for atleast 5years to be able to secure a spot.
Thinking of quitting teaching now eventhough it's my childhood dream
