I can't wait for my exit interview where I tell my manager(the director of HR) how awful she is at her job. Maybe I'll make a powerpoint presentation…
This woman has protected a manager from sexual harassment complaints by firing the person who makes the complaints. The company is now being sued because of this.
She does not understand the optics of making the only out queer person in the office(me) organize a Pride event. She doesn't really understand the optics of anything really, I've had to explain to her why a company with no Mexican people having a costume contest for Cinco de Mayo would be racist.
She also does not understand that doing things takes time. Giving someone a task in which they have to learn how to use new software that is not user friendly in the slightest takes more time than a few hours.
She does not understand the positions she manages. I don't think it's weird to believe that a manager should be fully trained in all the positions they manage. She could not do my job if her life depended on it. We had to have 4 people cover half my tasks when I was gone for 3 days, and she still thinks that I shouldn't take very long to do my tasks.
She offered me a promotion, which I accepted, listed my current position, and then rescinded the promotion when they couldn't find someone to take over my current position without telling me.
There is so so much more, as well.
So fuck this ankle, I'm out.
