I wanted to be nice and I gave them a three week notice, my last day would have been today.
As they say, no good deed goes unpunished.
I work in healthcare and saw a note on the whiteboard on the treatment floor for all to see that said “ r/noonesgonnaseeit, don’t let the door hit you on your way out!!” , I thought it was made in lighthearted fun but then in the work group text I got told I’m gonna be missed like a hemorrhoid.. and same person said “ Sorry ( not sorry). She just brings stress to an already stressful job”
So I decided to just not go back.
That last day I was there I left in tears and didn’t say bye to anyone.
I told the manager I wasn’t comfortable going back and I also forwarded the stuff over to HR.
I’m glad to have extra time off in between starting at a new company but I can’t help but feel sad that four years in to this company and this is how it ends…
