What is a separation agreement?

For context: I work a sales job that I don't really enjoy. This job requires me to talk to a lot of people, I am introverted so it takes away a lot of my energy, and I get drained about 2/3's through the day. This has been consistent. My bosses have noticed this and have offered me a separation agreement. They say that it will be a mutual agreement between the company and I, that I will eligible for unemployment, and that it will not reflect negatively on myself when looking for future jobs. This leads to my question, what is a separation agreement actually? My bosses are nice people, they're just really passionate about sales and our personalities do not go together well. I don't think they would try to screw me over, but I just want to make sure. I trust this community and I like the movement,…
