Working for small businesses? (advocating for worker’s rights while working for a small business just getting it’s feet on the ground)

Much of the current animosity about workers' conditions seem to be aimed (and rightfully so) at big corporations. But I am curious about how y'all feel about small businesses and how they treat employees. Thoughts?
