I was just laid off due to “lack of commitment to the job”

Exactly like the title says, I was laid off for my “lack of commitment to the job”. After two years of bartending there, then receiving a promotion to management about two months ago, averaging 50 hour work weeks, all holidays and weekends, in the hospitality industry which desperately needs people, I was laid off. Make it make sense. I can only assume it’s due to the dates I’ve requested off going forward for my wedding in October. I was clear with my boss about needing more days off than usual this year when we first discussed the promotion, they said they understood. Guess not. I’m saddened and my pride has definitely taken a blow but, I’ll just take the four months before my wedding off completely now and enjoy this time of my life far more than I would working through it all.
