Fuck the 4th of July. There is nothing to celebrate as our country remains the most expensive in healthcare, one of the highest in incarceration, historically paying lower wages to scale than in the 70s, with 1/3 of the jobs paying $15/hr or less, being 1 of 3 countries in the world without ANY mandatory parental leave and the ONLY country without mandatory vacation. Now half the country lost its freedom and the conservatives are only spouting, “just go across state lines”, “nothing has changed”. They are right, nothing “has” changed, despite majority after majority voting for presidents that lose elections to the minority, just to restrict our voting rights the next time around and plant operatives for a long running Federalist society scheme to overthrow democracy. These same people acting shocked these decisions are being made that THEY voted for. Absolutely blinded by the stupidity of their own.
Freedom is an illusion now and there is no need to celebrate something we don't have. Fuck fireworks, cookouts, there is nothing to celebrate. We have work to do.
