Laid off from my job. Did my injury have something to do with it?

Fell down the stairs and broke my leg middle of March. Was fortunate enough to have insurance from the job and insurance covered most of it for surgery. Been out of work for a month and a half and came back. Been working for a month until I got news that they were laying me off because my position isn’t necessary anymore ( they hired people while I was gone, and said people were already doing admin work, work that I’m doing) This sucks mostly because this company had the least toxic work environment I’ve veered worked in, and they hired me full time from a temp agency. I’m still doing physical therapy and I’m in crutches. What to do? Note: work is completely sedentary. Just sitting there all day with computer and paperwork.
