i’m early 30’s and i can’t wait to quit this place very shortly. i’ve only stayed this long (1 year on the dot) so i can get my 40 hours vacation soon then i’m out. the culture is so toxic. the mindset of that generation is fucked. they all come in early, unpaid. most don’t take their lunch and brag about it. if somebody complains about anything they all just have the mindset of “it’s better to just suck it up and deal with it” and “it’s not worth complaining about” “better to keep your mouth shut”. things like that i overhear them saying.
absolutely TF not. i’m sure they all hate me because i have lodged complaints with HR for harassment and hostility. i take my lunch every single day. i never come in early or stay late. i have refused to work in unpleasant conditions (example; i’m a driver and the ac in my work vehicle stopped working so i said i refuse to drive that vehicle until it’s fixed or i’m provided with another that has air). i’m sure they all just think i’m a “princess” but i don’t give zero fucks. this is a dead end job with zero room for advancement anyways. the pay is like 33k a year.
just a few more weeks then i’m out!!!
