I’m a 33m so I’m still pretty young. But since leaving school I did a 3 mechanical engineer apprenticeship, then 10 years in Foundry and recently just left the railway after 5 years.
All these jobs I worked excessive hours 6/7 days a week year after year. I was never at home and I have 2 children (10 and 3). They were spoilt and my wife was spoilt. We had range rovers and a nice house. I though life was great.
Anyway due to having problems with my mental health I quit work, stopped paying bills and I would sit around all day…
I’m now the happiest I’ve ever been !!
I have a rented house I can’t afford, I have no Job, I have no car, I have no savings and I have very little money.
But I spend every day with my kids and wife, we relax every evening together talking and watching TV, I make them breakfast every single morning and I have never been so happy in my life.
I don’t want to work but when I do look on job sites, all I want is a minimum hours job doing day shifts only with very little responsibilities.
