My employer only paid overtime worked at straight time, not time and a half and also engaged in gaslighting (over unrelated things). I quit and found an attorney who suggested a write a demand letter and proceed from there.
This was a couple of months ago. Employer finally contacted me today claiming they were “sorry” and “didn't know the law” lol. What bullshit.
I hope they lose other employees over this because I know there is at least one person still there that they were also not paying correctly. I am ready and willing to put out more than I'm owed in the claim to pursue this if they don't cut the check for the right amount. Fuck them.
